One product page per EAN

Each product has one page on bol.com, linked to the EAN and shared by all sellers.

Supplying via the seller account

You supply product data in your seller account, per product or in bulk via a template, or via the API. Which attributes are mandatory depends on the product category.

Manufacturer and responsible economic operator

Per product, bol.com asks sellers to supply the manufacturer details and the details of the responsible economic operator in the EU. That can be the manufacturer itself or, for a manufacturer outside the EU, for example the importer or authorised representative.

Warnings, safety information and identification

You supply warnings and safety information per product. GPSR requires them in Dutch. GPSR also requires the product identification: image, type and batch or serial number.

Shared page, own offer

Product information from another seller can take precedence over what you supply. You add missing manufacturer details or warnings by changing the existing product information in your seller account; the responsible economic operator you manage in the market-participant settings of your seller account and link per item.

   MDC Systems requests missing data from your suppliers (one request, one reminder). Pilot Fix Sprint €990, Standard Fix Sprint €1,490, both excl. VAT. Lead time: 5 working days from Intake Complete. What a supplier does not deliver becomes an open item with a concrete next step.

   Operations Care — €199 per month excl. VAT

   Monthly check of your product pages against the GPSR check points, with an open-items overview and an alert when something changes. On a shared bol.com page, content from another seller can take precedence without you changing anything.

1. What does bol.com ask of sellers for GPSR?

   Per product, bol.com asks sellers to supply the manufacturer details, the details of the responsible economic operator and the safety information. The seller remains responsible for the accuracy of their own offer, even though bol.com displays the page. MDC Systems checks per product family which of these is missing.

2. The page for my EAN was filled in by another seller. What can I do?

   On bol.com there is one product page per EAN and bol.com decides which supplied content is shown. If manufacturer details or warnings are missing, you change the product information yourself in your seller account; bol.com decides whether that change is shown. The responsible economic operator you link per item in your seller account. For that, MDC Systems delivers an overview per EAN of what you need to supply.

3. I also sell the same products in my own web shop. How does that work?

   MDC Systems works per product family, not per individual SKU. MDC Systems prepares the data of a product family per platform: for bol.com a CSV per EAN, for Shopify or WooCommerce a CSV in the column layout of that platform.

4. My manufacturer is outside the EU. What do I supply on bol.com then?

   If the manufacturer is outside the EU, on bol.com you supply not only the manufacturer's name, postal address and electronic address but also the name, postal address and electronic address of the responsible person in the EU (Article 16 GPSR; on bol.com: responsible economic operator). MDC Systems does not fulfil that role. If that responsible person is missing, it becomes an open item with a concrete next step.

5. What does a GPSR check of my bol.com offer cost?
